Lamps, lamps and more lamps...

Wow!  Long time since our last post!



















Creativity is in full bloom at mendlbarr... just like our "hybrid tea" rose garden planted awhile back...

Seems that lamps are filling most of my days...  assembling, rewiring, painting and then deciding on the absolute perfect lampshade?  We create one-of-a-kind lighting!

Imagine the changes that evolve by simply switching its finial or lampshade... from elegant to beach cottage to artsy... possibilities are endless!   Final touches with embellishments and paint... ooh la la!



Shipped our first lamp out... client loved it even more in person :)

An ornament to remember your furry baby...

Each year we pick an ornament to add to our collection... part of the mendlbarr Christmas tradition!

Last year Dave found a wonderful bisque porcelain set of wings to have in memory of our "Max"! He loved Christmas... many times we would find him asleep under the Christmas tree :)

This year we lost my "Monte"...
we decided to find another set of wings as our Christmas ornament for 2012.
We found a wonderful set at Target and for only $4!

We added Monte's tag to it... perfect!

We've started a new tradition... when our furry/feathered babies cross the Rainbow Bridge we will remember them with a set of wings... our cup runneth over :)

using the "talents" God gave you...

Received an email from my Godmother today... she signed it with "hope you are doing well with your "talents"! Made my day that she remembered my struggle to utilize all of my creative gifts in a world that sometimes makes it impossible! Even with so much more time at home... I find it hard to get everything done! Scares me what it might be like once I get back to full-time work?

Guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Until then, I will take a big breath, say a prayer and put one foot in front of the other and hope it takes me where He wants me to be! Do any of you have any suggestions on time-managing? I'm going to need it!
